Black and Decker Spacemaker Chopper and Grinder - White Review

Black and Decker Spacemaker Chopper and Grinder - White
Average Reviews:

This is probably the most handy and versatile kitchen gadget! A 2 in 1 that not only grinds coffee like the most sophisticated grinder but can also, with only changing the plastic cup and blades, chop onions, garlic and any prepping I need for cooking and salads.
It is simply ingenuous! Now I have my chopper always at reach and not taking any space on my counter. I can put both plastic cups and blades in the dishwasher to clean it and wipe the base with a paper towel.
In these times of tough economy, you can't beat this deal: A large 3 cup chopper AND a coffee grinder - ALL IN ONE

Krups Fast Touch Coffee Grinders Review

Krups Fast Touch Coffee Grinders
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have had my grinder for 12 years now. It works the same today as it did new, and I use it about 10 times a week. For the money, it can't be beat. That said, this grinder is not for everybody.
This grinder is perfect for anybody with a coffee maker that uses #4 paper CONE filters (or slightly bigger or smaller). I emphasize PAPER because a permanent filter is not good for this grinder. Like any blade grinder, it will produce some dust. That creeps through the permafilter and into your pot is makes sludge. It sloppies up your coffee. Nothing gets through paper filters though.
It also grinds coffee fine. You really don't have a choice. It is ok for espresso as well if you are not a connoisseur. If you try a coarse grind with this unit, you will be out of luck. If you don't grind long enough, you will leave a few beans whole or in large pieces.
If you need anything other than a fine grind and don't mind using paper filters (I prefer them), then look no further.
I deducted a star because it has limitations, but the truth is, for probably 80% of the coffee drinkers out there, this grinder is all you need.

Krups XP4050 1200-Watt 15-Bar-Pump Programmable Espresso Machine Review

Krups XP4050 1200-Watt 15-Bar-Pump Programmable Espresso Machine
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I must start with saying that this is my second XP4050 in one month, the first suffering from two problems. One problem was the same that others have mentioned here, when water stops coming out of the filter head and instead just dumps into the drip tray from an apparent overflow-type valve in the bottom of the machine. This only happened once, corrected itself, and never happened again. The second problem was that I noticed a small amount of water occasionally leaking from the buttons on the front and the stainless portion on the front of the machine would also get VERY hot. I believe these were one problem, possibly the brewing portion leaking.
I contacted Amazon online and was shocked at the ease and speed of getting a replacement model. At no charge to me, including shipping, I had a brand new XP4050 within 3 days.
The new model works perfect. I am a somewhat new espresso afficienado, having been making my own at home for only about 2 years. This is my second machine, my first being a Krups Gusto that recently died. I decided on the XP4050 after a great deal of research and comparing features versus cost. The price I got this model through Amazon was literally half what I was looking at with other brands.
As far as use of the machine, it couldn't be easier. I use mostly pods but have tried grounds with equally easy and great tasting shots. The three different filter baskets for brewing are held in the handle firmly, which was an issue in my old Krups Gusto (I accidently threw away the single shot filter basket). The frother performs very well although I have not tried the attachment for pulling the milk from a separate container. As others have said, make sure you keep an eye on your drip tray, it does tend to fill quickly. I empty mine every 4-6 shots.
Overall, even considering my initial "problem" model, I am extremely happy with the XP4050. It's a great looking, inexpensive, easy to use machine that consistently puts out quality shots of espresso. I would recommend this model to either new beginners or someone looking to step up a little.

I wrote a review of our new Cuisinart DCC-1200W under that product. In that review, I mentioned that we also bought a DeLonghi for our RV about the same time. This is the model DeLonghi we bought at the local Target.
This coffee maker, quite simply, is better designed and made a better cup of coffee than the Cuisinart right out of the box. The Cuisinart here on Amazon is about twice the price of the DeLonghi.
If you're in the market for a new coffee pot and you read all the glowing reviews of the Cuisinart here on Amazon, I urge you to consider this pot instead.

Capresso 558/01 Burr Coffee Grinder Review

Capresso 558/01 Burr Coffee Grinder
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
My wife bought it for me at Costco. I wanted a burr grinder because she has a Cuisinart blade grinder that doesn't grind finely enough for my espresso. Thoughtful of her, but I decided to do some research before opening the box. Some of the negative reviews on Amazon concerned me, so I carefully read the instructions before first use.
I made sure both lids were secured, and depressed the ON button for two seconds. It's relatively quiet, and automatically stops when the grinding is complete. The grounds were too coarse at the suggested setting, so I adjusted the dial until I was satisfied. It took about three attempts. The grinds now come out perfect every time.
The reviews about messiness caused by static electricity build up were also a concern. Since we live in a dry climate, static electricity can be a major issue. I simply tap the container a couple of times before opening it up, and have no problems. Clean up is a breeze. I just rinse out the removable container after use.
All in all I'm delighted with it. Just read and follow the instructions, and I'm confident you'll be pleased too.

This Capresso coffee grinder is made for coffee lovers ready to go to the next step of elevating the pleasure of coffee. The best coffee comes from coffee beans you grind yourself. Freshly ground, the beans maintain the oils and flavonoids that contribute to the exquisite, complex flavor and aroma of a superb cup of coffee. When it comes to grinding coffee for pleasure, the burr grinder is the way to go. It delivers a more precise grind than the less expensive blade grinders.Conical Burr Grinders preserve the most aroma and can grind very fine and very consistent. The intricate design of the steel burrs allow a high gear reduction to slow down the grinding speed. The slower the speed the less heat is imparted to the ground coffee thus preserving maximum amount of aroma. Because of the wide range of grind settings these grinders are ideal for all kinds of coffee equipment, Espresso, Drip, Percolators, French Press. The better Conical Burr Grinders can also grind extra fine for the preparation of Turkish coffee. Grinding speed is generally below 500 rpm.

Capresso 440.05 MT-500 10-Cup Electronic Coffeemaker with Thermal Carafe Review

Capresso 440.05 MT-500 10-Cup Electronic Coffeemaker with Thermal Carafe
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
after months of dealing with burnt coffee from my trusty krups coffeemaker...i decided that there just HAD to be a better way. i launched an exhaustive search for what would be the best (you know this is always a compromise, anyways) machine for the job. i knew i wanted a thermal carafe...and wasn't as concerned with the price as i was concerned with the quality and durability.
i read many reviews here on amazon...including reviews for this machine. after seeing a bunch of negative reviews (based on how difficult to operate, clean, or lack of really HOT coffee from this machine) i decided to look further, instead of just jumping in.
of course...as i searched the web, i finally realized that i was just going to have to try the machine...worst that could happen was that i could experience all the problems that some others had...and i'd have to return it.
expecting problems (i saw an awful lot of buyer whining about operation difficulty (it isn't a problem) temperature of coffee (although quoted as 170 degrees in the manual it generally stays in the carafe at 160 degrees) and all assortment of complaints about adding water to the reservoir (a no brainer), assembly/cleaning issues (also very simple), pause and serve issues (never had a problem)...
i had NO problems whatsoever with this unit. coffee tasted good from the first cup...and still tastes good (i've had the unit for over two months now)
as a matter of fact...the coffee is still hot and drinkable after 3 hours (although the manual does recommend that you dispose of the coffee after 2 hours)
so all in all? a VERY satisfied customer...i rated it at 4 stars because it IS expensive...and for the anal-retentive types out there...yes the coffee rarely exceeds 165 degrees...
but...if you are sitting on the fence (like i was) jump in! you won't be disappointed!

To achieve a spectacular cup of coffee there are essential steps that need to be taken. The water must be free of chlorine taste (hence the charcoal filter), the machine must be able to brew larger or smaller amounts successfully (this one "knows" to disperse hot water more slowly when the coffee ground amount is less). The coffee must be very hot (right around 192 Degrees F, like the brew from the MT500), and kept fresh, as in a double walled stainless steel carafe with a one way valve that keeps flavor and aroma in the coffee. Now it doesn't hurt if the machine itself is gorgeous either, or that it can output 10 cups of coffee in 8 minutes. Oh and one more thing: this is the only coffee maker in its class that has a stainless steel boiler so your coffee doesn't ever come in contact with aluminum. Normally this type of construction, and a 1200 watt heating element are found only on commercial grade appliances.

Farberware FCM12SS 12-Cup Coffeemaker, Stainless/Black
Average Reviews:

Like everyone else, I found the absurdly tiny opening for the water is a royal pain, & certainly drags the rating for this way down. After setting it up, impressed with the features, & price, I couldn't even see where the water should go, and looked to the instructions, which weren't much help. I finally realized, that despite a huge lid, which is only for the filter, the opening for filling was a tiny, narrow slit towards the rear of the unit. This is way too small, and not only must you be a great aim, but it's quite awkward maneuvering the carafe to enable it to fully empty!
I truly cannot believe that someone, or ones, were paid to "design" this model! What were they thinking???
Oh, well, this is the third coffeemaker I've bought recently, the first two were even even worse, so I'm still undecided if I'll return this, or just live with having to be ultra-precise when filling it.....

La Pavoni La Moka Burr Grinders Review

La Pavoni La Moka Burr Grinders
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Cheap, grinds adequately. The moniker "La Moka" should've clued me in that this was a mediocre manufacturer's lame attempt to make a coffee grinder sound hip or trendy.
It grinds fairly well, but the two-piece plastic hopper for the grounds is awkward and tends to fall apart easily, spraying grounds all over the counter and the machine itself.
Also the dial used to select coarseness can be confusing. 9 is for coarse, 1 is for fine, but there is a left arrow ( ) each pointing away from the number, so that if you move the dial all the way to the right, you think you're choosing FINE since the word fine is at the right, but in actuality you're choosing COARSE even though it's on the opposite side. The fine grind is pretty fine, but coarse really isn't, there doesn't seem to be much difference between coarse and fine with this grinder despite your selection.
I regret this purchase.

Housed in durable ABS shock-resistant plastic, this grinder with steel burrs works great for producing freshly ground coffee. The unit provides a large 8-4/5-ounce bean hopper with a seal-tight lid, and its nine grind settings range from French press coarse to espresso fine. In addition, the unit automatically dials-in the exact amount of coffee required, from 2 to 12 cups, and adjusts to espresso, coarse, and drip settings. It also introduces beans to the grinding chamber a few at a time to ensure a consistent, even grind. Other highlights include an on/off switch with auto start, raised feet, and an ETL safety listing. It's not suitable, however, for Turkish grinds or lever machines. The 120-watt grinder measures 6 by 5 by 10 inches and carries a two-year warranty on the motor.

We bought the B&D TCM700 in August and other than some minor adjustments to use it (compared to our old B&D press and brew)it worked satisfactorly. A week before Xmas the brew cycle began to act up. It was using only 2/3 of the available water. Went to B&D website and to my surprise this model does not exist. Seems they have replaced it with a different design. Still trying to reach a live person at B&D regarding the problem. Recommend something similar, but different manufacturer.

Balck & Decker's 8 cup Stainless Steel Thermal Coffee Maker has that smooth sleak look that become very popular in homes across the country. Capresso 454 CoffeeTEAM-S Coffee Maker/Burr Grinder Combination Review

Capresso 454 CoffeeTEAM-S Coffee Maker/Burr Grinder Combination
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I've had this model coffemaker at work for a couple of years, and so I placed it on my registry and got it as a wedding gift. As far as grind and brew goes, this one is mostly good, but falls short in a few respects.
The good:
o- burr grinder, much better grind than a blade
o- programmable - I just set it in the evening and it's good to go when I get out of the shower
o- no major cleaning necessary every time you use it
o- I don't see anything wrong with the plastic at all. Looks fine to me.
o- GoldTone filter - a very fine mesh to capture most coffe grounds, but does not absorbe any of the oils from the coffee the way paper filters do, giving you a fuller flavor, albeit at a price of a slightly silty cup.
The bad:
o - the temperature isn't quite up to snuff - a little too cold. If you pour it into a cup you pulled out of the cupboard, and add a splash of half and half or milk from the fridge, then pour in the coffee, it's just above warm. Not hot enough. Which also contributes to the brew not being quite as good as the beans' potential. Sad.
Update - being the engineer at heart that I am, I went and tested the brew temperature, just to be sure. I used two different kitchen digital thermometers, both in the basket and in the carafe. For most of the bewing time the temp stays at about 165F, climbing up to almost 175F towards the end of the brew. That is well short of the 200F +- 5F (92C-94C). No wonder then. I was always puzzled at how I would find great coffee at a shop, buy the beans, bring them home and only get a mediocre brew. Now I know. Too cold.
o - there is a conduit between the burr grinder and the basket. As you grind beans, the grounds fill up the conduit and push the grounds that were there already out to the basket. It's okay if you use it at the office and brew 10 cups at a time, a few times a day (full brew takes about 10 minutes, BTW). Not good for home use where you bew 2-4 cups a day: you are constantly using day-old grounds. Not good. Next time this thing breaks, I'm replacing it with a standalone burr grinder which dumps beans right out, and a thermal carafe coffemaker like Braun, which brings me to the next point:
o- No thermal carafe! What's up with that! For a high price like that, I'd have at least expected a thermal carafe. Alas, no such luck.
o- Reliability. At the office we've had to replace it about once a year, which isn't bad considering how heavily we used it - multiple 10-cup brews every day. My home version quit (motor burned out, I think) after just over a year of use. Luckily, the department store exchanged it, a'cause it was off the wedding registry and they are extra nice in those cases. Next time this thing dies, I'm getting two separate pieces - maker and grinder, both can be had for under half of the cost of these.
o - if you do get it, make sure to point the spout of the carafe to the right, away from the basket, as the steam can make the mechanism and beans sticky.
o- Brew time is too long. A full 10 cups take 10 minutes. Ideally a brew should not take more than 6 minutes; after that time you start to extract bitter unpleasant flavors from the beans. So if you want to make more coffee, then make 6 cups, pour into a thermal container and brew the other 4.
Better yet, don't buy this coffemaker.
Update: Capresso has come out with a new model, Capresso 455.05 CoffeeTEAM which does come with a thermal carafe. I don't know what the brew temp is - I suspect still too cold; no way to tell. It's an extra hundred bucks. I'm going to see if I can return mine and buy a better one.

Virtuoso Coffee Grinder Review

Virtuoso Coffee Grinder
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Since I have only had the Virtuoso for three months I will not discuss the long-term quality. Because I use it primarily for press pot, drip and small espresso batches I was not looking to get a solid consumer grinder, like the more expensive Rancilio Rocky or Mazzer Mini.
Previously I have owned a Starbucks Barista (the Solis verson, not the newer Saeco Titan verson) and the Capresso Infinity 560 Black. The Barista had a long and happy life, and after performing the hack (see coffeegeek.com), made great coffee and pretty good espresso. The Capresso was excellent for drip & press coffee, but only adequate for espresso. I would happily recommend each of these for people that just want a pretty solid cup of Joe, and do not mind it being slightly heated in the process. The Capresso was still running solidly, so do not infer it died early (it cheerfully grinds my wife's flax seeds very well now), I just wanted something better for my espresso shots.
After briefly considering the Gaggia MDF I looked at the Virtuoso, mainly for three, important, reasons.
First I was very happy with my Solis/Starbucks grinder, it lasted for over 10 years of heavy use. The hack allowed it to make good espresso. Baratza has been involved with selling the Solis products, and are the designers of the Maestro and Maestro Plus grinder (yes, thats right they are THEIR machines, not Solis). After talking to a few of the locally operated coffee shops, invaluable advice, I was able to learn more about the company.
Second, many of the negative reviews were early in the introduction of the product. What I appreciated, and what the shop owners told me about, is the serious approach to resolving any issues the product has and updating the product itself. Each issue has been addressed, burr design, machine rpm, cleanliness, fineness settings, etc. Important to me was that the later reviews, specially by some of the talking heads, were far better than the earlier versions of the Virtuoso.
Third the current version of the product, it is an affordable ($200 in some cases slightly less) grinder with a professional burr, over 40 settings (it can be easily hacked to allow for finer or coarser setting- something I have not needed to do yet. That information is posted in the FAQ of the Baratza website), and lower rpm motor (very important if you do not wish to heat the ground beans, or use a heavy French Roast as I do). It is easy to clean with the supplied brush, but hand wash and rinse well, the washable parts. Absolutely do not wash the container in the dishwasher, unless you wish destroy the anti-static properties of the container, plus it isn't necessary.
After figuring out what settings work best for my three purposes, I am getting a coffee that is as good as I would get in even some of the better local establishments in Portland. My espresso is not quite as good, but then I do not have Mazzer's and a thousand dollar plus espresso machine. For my purposes the espresso is far better than I have made on my own in the past.
It may be only a perception, but it seems as though I am using fewer beans as I have in the past as well, important as coffee prices rise. This is a great grinder for its niche, one can get better, but you will have to pay more, and be seriously addicted to Barista quality espresso.

I researched a grind and brew coffee maker for 3 months before purchasing this one. I'm thrilled with it. I used to work at prominent kitchenware store and didn't hear good customer reviews about the Cusineart Grind and Brew and the Capresso.... The Melitta makes a great cup of coffee, it's easy to use, grinds the beans quickly and you get your choice of course to super fine. The only programing is easy as is the clean up...no hassle which was important to me. The only thing I have noticed is that you need to use more scoops of beans than specified. (I make 4 cups each morning and use about 3 scoops of beans for strong coffee)...

I've had my DeLonghi Esclusivo coffeemaker for exactly 3 months. It brewed the best tasting coffee I've ever had. It was my favorite coffee maker by far for the following reasons: Coffee is delicious -slow brewing permits a more robust coffee. Small footprint on my counter. Stylish design. VERY easy to program and use. Large opening through which to pour water. Charcoal filter to purify water. Automatic shut off. Caraffe has large opening for easy cleaning. NON-DRIP POURING!! I was in heaven with this coffeemaker and knew I'd found the perfect one. (I've had many in my lifetime.)
Unfortunately, two days ago, the plastic surrounding the hot plate began to melt. The vendor from whom I purchased it has already refunded my money and has asked me to return it. I will NOT purchase another one for fear of fire hazard. This coffeemaker would have received 10 stars from me had it not begun to melt itself to death. For this reason, I'm heartsick.....it WAS the perfect coffeemaker.

Brew up to 14 cups (70 ounces) of great-tasting coffee with this easy-to-use drip coffeemaker. The unit's showerhead design helps extract coffee's full natural flavor by allowing water to completely saturate all coffee grounds, while its aroma button activates a unique brewing process that enhances the flavor and aroma of coffee. To achieve this full-bodied flavor, the coffeemaker advances through several continuous cycles that release water into the filter basket in 30-second intervals. This special time-released process saturates grounds a little at a time to extract the best flavor and aroma from coffee. The coffeemaker also provides a pause-and-serve function, for pouring a cup midbrew, and a 24-hour programmable timer with two-hour automatic shut-off. Setting the timer allows for waking up to the aroma of freshly brewed coffee or for having coffee ready to serve with dessert. The include glass carafe offers measurement markings, a generous stay-cool handle, and a drip-free spout for graceful serving. Other highlights include simple push-button controls, a blue backlit display, a permanent gold-tone filter, advanced water filtration, and a convenient water-level indicator, as well as a non-stick warming plate, a freshness indicator, and cord storage to help keep countertops tidy. A measuring spoon comes included. The coffeemaker measures approximately 8-1/2 by 7-1/5 by 13-1/2 inches and carries a one-year limited warranty.

DeLonghi DCM485 10-Cup Thermal Carafe and Coffeemaker, Brushed Stainless Steel

Are you tired of parts made of plastic and not real metal? This coffee maker is made of genuine brushed stainless. If the part on this machine looks like metal, it is metal. The overall look and style is very European, even the buttons and display are good quality and simple to use and understand. The carafe is stainless inside and out, and keeps the coffee hot for at least 4 hours. The water resevoir lifts out for easily filling from the tap, so you don't have to fill the carafe first and pour it into the machine. The resavoir has graduated markings. Also, the filter holder comes out for easy cleaning. The only quirk I found is that, as with other themal carafes, you have to pour slowly to keep from dripping. It also helps to read the manual that explains how far to unscrew the top before pouring to avoid drips.

Black & Decker DCM2500B SmartBrew Coffeemaker Review

Because we're serious about our coffee, we sold our old $100+ Cuisinart coffeemaker to be replaced with this much better designed and much easier to use coffee maker.
A motel room we stayed at had this model coffee maker. We used it twice a day for 10 days. The coffee was delicious and we found no minuses at all, so I bought one. We've been using it daily now for about three months.
The carafe is made of heavy duty glass and doesn't drip at all. The hole to pour water into is large and easy to get to. There are convenient and accurate water level windows on both sides of the unit. The controls are convenient, easy to understand, and easy to use. The basket is easily removed for cleaning, easy to position, and uses standard flat bottomed filters. The time and function displays are large and bright. All of these are comparative problem areas in the Cuisinart.
Programming works perfectly and is so simple to use we didn't need the manual. To set the time of day press the "Hours" button until it reaches the current hour and then the "Minutes" button. To set the "Auto on" time, press the "Program" button, and then set the start time the same way. Press the "Program" button again to go back to time of day. For auto start, press the "Auto on" button, which lights up. That's it.
In addition, the water enters the drip chamber in a shower rather than a stream, resulting in consistently smooth and uniform tasting coffee. I can't comment on the warming plate because we put what we don't drink immediately into a Thermos for all day use. The warming plate shuts itself off after two hours if you forget.
The negative reviews are a puzzle to me. We found none of the problems mentioned.
This is an addendum in mid Nov, 2007. The coffeemaker still makes perfect coffee and everything works like new. The only negative I'd add is that the warming plate is quite rusty, probably because I put a pot of tap water on it at night to have chlorine free water in the morning. Often the pot is damp. When we need to replace this coffeemaker, I'll paint the new warming plate with bar-b-cue paint before the first use, for rust protection.
This is an update, dated 11/20/07. The coffeemaker still works perfectly and still looks good. I sanded the rust off of the base plate, painted it with bar-b-cue paint, and as expected there is no more rust problem. I don't think the rust would occur for most people. I caused it by putting a wet pot on the plate overnight seven days a week.

Copco 4- to 8-Cup Polished Stainless Steel Stovetop Percolator Review

Copco 4- to 8-Cup Polished Stainless Steel Stovetop Percolator

This is a great little coffee percolator, especially for the inexpensive price. For one person it makes more than I need, since the full "8 cups" comes out to about 4 normal mugs full.
I used the original plastic top for the first use, and it didn't seem to get too hot at all. Some mentioned the top melting in other reviews. Once the pot reaches a boil turn the heat down to medium, since it will still percolate there's no reason to boil on a red hot "high" burner (which may have caused the melting they mentioned).
Just in case I also purchased the replacement glass top (B0000CFM6K) advertised with the percolator here. It attached nice and tight, and works great too. I'm sure the inexpensive glass replacement top will last as long as the coffee pot.
Another great thing I noticed was that when I wet the basket, as recommended, before loading the coffee grinds no grinds ended up in the coffee at all. I thought there would be, but no grinds in any cups of coffee after a half dozen uses now. It's a great little percolator.
(I also added some photos to add to the stock image above so you can see the size of the pot, and a comparison of the stock plastic and replacement glass tops)

Hamilton Beach 40616 Stainless-Steel 12-Cup Electric Percolator Review

Before I purchased this coffee pot about a year ago, I read reviews by others who said 'good coffee but lasted only a few months.' I thought to myself...'oh, those people must have been the unlucky few who got bad units...or they emersed the pot and ruined it.' I should have listened to their 'don't buy' pleas, and hope others will listen to my message of warning.
I loved this coffee pot. Rich, strong, hot coffee, and great classic looks. My only complaint was that compared to other percolators I've used, this one is noisy. It makes a loud popping sound while brewing. I never emersed the unit, and was always very careful to avoid letting any water get near the base of the unit when washing it.
I bought this pot a year ago, and used it about twice a MONTH. Yesterday morning, I attempted to make coffee but got only the same 'beige water' that others have reported. Tried again today thinking maybe it was just a fluke, and got a second pot of luke warm 'beige water.'
I suspect that others who posted initially positive feedback about this pot have had the same experience, but just haven't returned to update their reviews. In any case, I would strongly caution against the purchase of this pot. It's just not durable.

Housed in heavyweight stainless steel with an attractive chrome mirror finish, this quick-brewing electric percolator makes 12 cups of coffee with super-fast, cup-a-minute speed. When brewing is complete, it automatically switches to a "keep warm" temperature to ensure each cup is as warm as the first. Great for entertaining, the percolator has a ready-to-serve light that indicates when coffee is ready to enjoy, and its detachable cord provides the ability to serve fresh perked coffee right at the table without any hassle. Other useful features include a drip-free spout, an easy-grip knob on the unit's lid, a stay-cool handle, and a stainless-steel permanent filter basket that minimizes grounds in brewed coffee. The unit combines present-day technology with the retro look of a '50s kitchen for creating a perfect compliment to any kitchen decor. The percolator, which should be washed by hand, measures 5-1/2 by 5-1/2 by 12-3/4 inches.
