Before I purchased this grill I was looking for the Char-Broil Fire & Ice Grill (the one with the cooler below); however they have discontinued it for some weird reason. So I researched this one for my tailgate and decided to give it a try. I normally use charcoal however it is such a mess and the smoke blows over into others tailgates which is a little rude.
PROS: Great portable grill; love the side tables; 16 oz propane tank lasted hours (which is very nice); cute little extras like a flag and extra propane tank holder, a holder for paper towels and a holder for the propane tank in use; LED lights are a nice touch; very light considering how large this grill is; has a Non-Stick Teflon coated griddle (good for breakfast items); has a grease collector under the grill; has an ignitior, very easy to setup and start cooking
CONS: You have to assemble this grill out of the box (takes about an hour) and this was disappointing;
MOST DISAPPOINTING FEATURE...you cannot just extend the legs of the base and start grilling, you must take the grill off, extend the legs and set the grill on top of the base, this again applies if you want to collapse the grill, you must take the grill off the base collapse the legs and place the grill back on top; does not have a propane gauge letting you know how much gas is left; make sure it is on a level surface, we tried to make scrambled eggs and they ran off the griddle down to the bottom of the grill
Overall if you can catch this grill on sale it is worth the money (purchased mine for around $160 on Amazon). I still believe a $200 grill should have some extra features like a propane gauge, and the grill should be able to setup without taking it on and off the base.
***PS:Thermos sells a carrying bag for the Grill 2 Go; however it does NOT fit this model. You can fit the grill but not the legs. Returned the carrying bag to Amazon and had my $40 refunded.***

The unit provides open-flame grilling with two independently controlled stainless-steel burners, 16,000 BTUs of heat, and a 308-square-inch cooking surface with porcelain-coated cooking grates for anything from hot dogs and hamburgers to salmon fillets, slabs of fresh pineapple, and veggie shish-kabobs. Even more, its nonstick Teflon-coated 140-square-inch griddle makes pancakes and eggs possible, even in the great outdoors. The grill can be used as a standard unit with dual locking legs or as a tabletop grill by removing the grill body; it operates using either a 1-pound LP cylinder or a 20-pound LP tank with an optional adapter. It also comes with a rotary ignition, a die-cast aluminum grill base, and a removable grease drawer for quick cleanup. Other highlights include folding side shelves with tool hooks and a carrying handle, a paper-towel holder, an onboard storage bin and trash-bag holder, a flag holder, and an LED light that attaches to the handle for grilling in the dark (light requires four AA batteries, not included). When finished grilling, the two-piece porcelain cooking grate cleans up easily by hand or in the dishwasher. The portable gas grill measures 21 by 56 by 34-1/4 inches fully assembled and 33 by 21 by 20 inches when folded.

My husband and I love this grill. This is actually a marine BBQ and meant for boats but we got it because we live in a small city apartment and it's perfect for our balcony and is landlord approved.
The construction is actually very solid, the grill is made from stainless steel which is not only an attractive feature, but easy to maintain as well. It is very easy to take the grill apart to clean the parts. The previous reviewer commented on not being able to attach a gas canister sideways, but I don't know why you would need to do that or even want to. From my knowledge gas canisters are dangerous and only to be used properly, connecting it sideways would make me think it would leak and be dangerous. We actually bought a mount for ours and use that to support it, it's a black base type thing. Again, attractive in looks and doesn't take up much space on our already tiny balcony. The whole design is a very modern, streamlined design which fits into our decor, may seem silly to the average griller but trust me, it matters to their wives. Its nicer than having a huge half ton grill that takes up way too much space and is impossible to clean.
As far as performance, the grill is amazing. We grill on it literally EVERY night. We have two children under the age of two so fast, easy, healthy dinners are mandatory for us. Every night we grill fish, chicken, veggies, the best part of this grill is how fast it heats up. Dinner can be done very quickly, which helps out tremendously. The grill has lasted amazingly through our numerous uses. Again I believe it's a marine grill and probably meant to be used for those romantic nights out on the boat and not as a dinner staple as we use it-but it works for us. We could probably get rid of our stove, but not our grill.
It's a great product, numerous uses, and lasts through continual use. The only reason I gave it four stars and not five is because now I see the company has an electric version and I would rather have that one so I never have to worry about buying gas canisters but can just plug it in.

I just got this grill...it's a state of the art tabletop grill. The grill is already put together, so it's essentially ready to be used "out of the box". The grill is very light, so it's efficiently portable and easy to carry. It can fit on small or large tables and comes with a stainless steel veggie plate that is great for cooking vegetables, kabob's etc. It's got a easy to attach catch pan dipper that just slides on under bottom of the grill. The grill starts immediately (push and turn to light the burner) and the heat comes on quick; the temperature gauge on the top is very accurate and allows superior cooking capabilities, which is the best part of this grill. i cooked chicken the first night i got the grill, and it came out perfectly. For those of you using Weber or other more commercial grills, I'd recommend looking at this. I use to have a weber, used for tailgates etc - this grill is 10 times better and reasonably priced for it's quality.
