(More customer reviews)This is a pretty good panini press. It heats pretty evenly and I have never burned anything with it. It flattens pretty well except when I stuffed a sandwich with tomatoes and red peppers and then used focaccia bread that had a rounded crust. The insides kind of slid out and I had to manipulate it until it stayed put. The top portion pivots, but you have to use an oven mit to adjust it to the height of your sandwich since it's too hot to move with your bare hands. It has a non-stick coating and it's pretty easy to clean, unless you make oily, saucy or buttered sandwiches. I pretty much wipe it with wet, slightly soapy paper towels or a sponge but then I wipe again to make sure to get any soapy residue off (cannot submerge in water). The edge is lipped so crumbs and food particles have to be picked out. It's an attractive looking press as well.
