(More customer reviews)I ordered the replacement cover through Goodman's which fits perfectly. However, the food pusher from the original unit does not fit in the feeder tube. I was told I will need to order a new pusher for $12.50 and pay shipping. If I had known the pusher would need to be replaced I could have ordered together. (More customer reviews)I absolutely love my Cuisinart Stand Mixer and have been slowly purchasing the attachments as needed. This one was a mistake; not for lack of productivity though. As a food processor it works fantastically. The attachment is FAR too LOUD. As written previously by another reviewer, I don't know who could stomach the unit running on Speed 12! I can barely go past 4 or 5. I have only used this attachment once because of the noise - it is the most ear shattering racket you will ever hear.
I decided to purchase a dedicated food processor appliance and use my mixer solely for mixing, pasta making and blending (I received the blender attachment free, but have yet to use it - hopefully it's quieter, but it uses the same power port as the food processor).
This attachment will do the job, but I recommend investing your money into a separate unit to spare your hearing, and not to scare your pets and children.

I wrote to the company Abes of Maine and they didn't even have the courtesy to answer my email. I would never buy from them again , I could of gotten the food processor from a reliable company buy thought it would be nice to have the measuring cups , that was the only reason I chose Abes of Maine . Never buy from them. But I do love the food processor.

(More customer reviews)Ok .. I could have bought a Kitchenaid for a lot more money, that's the brand all my friends who have these recommended.
However, influenced by the price (12 bucks and change) and the reviews of other users, I bought this one. I'm not dissappointed at all! Works great!
So far I've used it to make smoothies and puree soups. In no time at all I had a nice smooth consistency for the smoothies and the soups took only a few minutes. Cleans up much easier than my standard blender, not to mention the time saved transferring things into the blender.
Also, I like that the guard portion surrounding the blade is not metal, I have a few enameled cast iron pieces of cookware that a metal guard would scratch.
You don't always have to pay top dollar to get something that performs well.
