(More customer reviews)Here's an instance of bad luck turned good; we moved and of course, the box of kitchen stuff failed to turn up and my older model Braun hand blender was gone. I had to purchase a new one, so I got another Braun because I loved my old one.
Well, this is certainly an improved model over the one I bought 10 years ago. IMMENSELY improved, and I love it so much I am, well, looking for things to beat up. Like pureed vegetable soups, frozen yogurt mix for the freezer, you name it.
Here's what has been made so much better:
1. The attachments that used to come with the Braun were run by the actual cutting blade. With this model, you can remove the blade portion of the stalk and screw the motor shaft onto the mini-chopper or whisk. I just love that!! The older chopper was hard to use because you had to hold it carefully in the socket designed for the blade to run the shaft. That's not a problem here --now the shaft of the blades are directly connected to the motor. A huge improvement.
2. The removable stalk means you can thoroughly clean the blade portion without worrying about submersing the motor part (a no-no for any electrical appliance.)
3. Because the motor is able to be detached from the blades, it is now more powerful--before, the motor seemed "dumbed down" to be able to run the mini-chopper. This new model motor kicks serious batter. In fact, it is so strong, make SURE YOU HAVE IT SUBMERGED in the puree before you run it or you will be spewing gazpacho all over your white kitchen. (I made gazpacho. I have a white kitchen. I know whereof I speak.)
4. The price, for this gem, is incredible. You get a whisk, a mini-chopper, the blender and a mixing beaker and a hanger for the wall if you want to mount it.
5. The one bad point: the motor is VERY strong, so if you have muscular weakness, carpal tunnel syndrome, or some kind of disability that challenges your hand control, I would recommend the variable speed model which goes from slow to fast. It is more money, but if you are physically challenged, it will prevent you from splashing hot soup as you puree it in the pot.
Otherwise, I can't recommend this enough. It is the most-used item I have in my kitchen.

After owning a few cheaper units, I sprang for the Braun Hand Blender/Chopper and am very pleased with my choice. While I have mainly used mine for its easy blending-in-the-pot capabilities, I admit the chopper has equal merits, especially when you only need to chop a small quantity of ingredients.
I love being able to immerse the blade right in my soup pot to blend or puree soups and sauces without the mess of getting out my food processor or countertop blender. The blade does a quick job of pureeing and wash-up is a dream. I can't imagine cooking without this handy device.
Highly recommended.

(More customer reviews)Very unhappy with this much touted processor You can't make a decent pesto sauce, neither the small blade for mini bowl, or normal multipurpose blade chops basil or small leaves well..For pesto you need a different appliance or mortar and pestle, not this behemoth. Worse, it is impossible to clean the multipurpose blade inside the shaft. When you make a paste or forcemeat it sticks like crazy glue to the plastic and no amount of soaking, heavy duty cycles in the dishwasher or wishful thinking can get the gunk out of the blade. Other foods stick to the plastic bowl - very difficult to clean, even after two runs in a good dishwasher. Kitchen Aid customer service couldn't offer any advice. Totally useless to call them. They are of absolutely no help.
This appliance is very heavy, don't count on taking it out each time. It has to have a dedicated spot on the counter. Doesn't come with fine slicing or shredding blade. Pulse action works well. Next time I'll go back to the more reliable and user-friendly Cuisinart.

(More customer reviews)I have been on the market for a food processor and was considering a smaller unit because I only need the processor for chopping/shredding. Then I found this unit at the local wal mart and liked it because of it's design. It is a 10 cup unit but it has a small footprint. The storage is very smart and the safety features DO NOT get in the way of processing. Now that I chose this unit, I started experimenting with other recipes which require dough. I was a little worried that the unit might be underpowered for dough but am happy to find that it will process dough without any problem. When I first tried dough I used the "mixer" method which is to make the base and then add flour until the dough ball couldn't hold any more flour. With the food process you start with dry ingredients and then 'drizzle' the water into the bowl until the dough ball is complete. Too much water and the dough gets sticky and stops the machine! So the slow drizzle method works perfectly and the machine handles it with no problem. Cutting and shredding work great and the large feed tube is just right. I like it and would buy it again.

I like everything about this product except the slicer it comes with is
so small that trying to cut tomatoes ended up with smashed tomatoes. Onions were also shredded. I could have taken a hammer and accomplished the same results.
I need to order the French Fry blade and the larger opening slicer. I hope you have one that will also cut 3/4 of an inch.
I am living in India and the product works very well. The multi-speeds
you can select is a great idea. Easy to clean and easy to open and close.
I previously had a Cuisinart Food Processor that I liked but it was so difficult to open and close that I gave it away. Also could not be used here in India.

(More customer reviews)I bought my wife the Combi-Max Food Processor and also bought this french-fry slicer. It works, but not being able to adjust the thickness is a big bummer. The money would have been better spent toward the adjustable system. I then ended up ordering the adjustable system (make sure to order the Adjustable Insert Carrier 3200-649) for french fries (Adjustable French Fry Insert 3200-651) and for slicing (Adjustable Slicing Insert 3200-650). Now she has everything she might ever need and she is much happier!

(More customer reviews)I have the Bosch Compact Mixer. I had trouble getting this to connect to the mixer. I called Bosch customer service in CA and discovered how to attach this. You must put the cover on the processor and snap it in place just as if you were going to process food. This moves the plastic tab on the bottom out of the way so it will attach. Works great once you know the secret!

(More customer reviews)I wrote a review of our new Cuisinart DCC-1200W under that product. In that review, I mentioned that we also bought a DeLonghi for our RV about the same time. This is the model DeLonghi we bought at the local Target.
This coffee maker, quite simply, is better designed and made a better cup of coffee than the Cuisinart right out of the box. The Cuisinart here on Amazon is about twice the price of the DeLonghi.
If you're in the market for a new coffee pot and you read all the glowing reviews of the Cuisinart here on Amazon, I urge you to consider this pot instead.

(More customer reviews)I purchased this about four months ago after another food processor died. My major qualm is the space a food processor can take up, since i have limited space in my kitchen. I liked the fact that the bowl is on top of the motor instead of to the side, which to me means that it takes up less counter space. I also like the fact that- like many of their products- there is a smooth surface where the operating buttons are, which means this can easily be wiped clean.
This is able to handle most of what I throw at it. I only cook for two, so I don't really need a mega capacity one. It comes with the basic blades I need with the grating and slicing, as well as the chopping blade. I had a huge zucchini in the garden- i have memories from when I was a child grating mountains of zucchini with a box grater for my mom and killing my knuckles. This made short work of the zucchini in about thirty seconds.
My gripes. Like most food processors the space on top of the disc blade where food can get hung up and not processed. No biggy.
Then there is plastic construction. I had a little part on it break on the handle tonight that prevented it from locking it into place. I am a careful person and was not doing anything unreasonable when it broke right in the middle of dinner prep.
I got on the phone with kitchenaid and they are going to send me a new bowl free of charge.
So theres the happy ending. When you buy kitchenaid, you may spend a lot up front for a unit, but most times if something breaks, it can be replaced, whereas a lot of lesser units would trash the whole thing and buy a new one.

Braun Multiquick 3 K650 Kitchen Machine 600 Watt Review

We used it for over 23 years, replacing the bowl once and the stalks that held the cutting disks about three times. We only gave it up when it started leaking oil. We replaced it with a Cuisinart that didn't have multiple speeds and did have a complicated and largely inscrutable lid locking system that ultimately failed--we needed to stick a screwdriver into the lid to make it work. So we found this Braun, which is similar to but an improvement on our old one, and it's great! Very lightweight, the bowl and lid simply snap into place, there's infinite speed control, and the cutting disks and stalks have been redesigned to be much sturdier. Beats Cuisinart by a mile.
