Chefmate 1 1/2 Cup Food Chopper Review

(More customer reviews)I really like this slicer! I don't use it too often, but nevertheless, I'm kicking myself for not purchasing it sooner. I received my Cuisinart processor as a wedding gift several years ago, but never watched the video which accompanied it. I finally watched it and saw what things I could do with additional slicing tools. I like using this to slice cucumbers and carrots. Very fast and even slices. The grater has been wonderful for cheese, saving me hours of pain that would be caused by doing it by hand.

Chopper Review

(More customer reviews)I really like this mincer. I have it for less than a month, so I don't know how it will perform on long run, but for now I am completely satisfied.
I bought it to make a flour.
I have allergy to gluten and yeast, so I have to bake my own breads and cakes.
First - gluten-free flours are very expensive, second - not all of them you can find in supermarket, and you have to look for it in specialty stores.
Like today I found a recipe for brioche, which calls for millet flour; I did not have this, but I had millet grains. I used this machine and now - I have a millet flour.
Plus pound of rice cost $0.99 and pound of rice flour runs from $2.99 to $3.99 per pound, if you use a lot of gluten free flour you will pretty quickly will pay off for this machine (I bought it on another site for $74.00 and shipping was free).
I like also that this machine is small enough. Most of flour mills are very bulky.
I can get pretty fine flour by using Miracle Mincer, but if you are perfectionist maybe it won't be fine enough for you.
Another good quality - it is not extremal loud, even my spooky dogs are not running away when I am using it. I hope it will lust long enough.
I like that it is made in Italy (lately everything is made in China, and quality is suffering, not a price.)

(More customer reviews)I found this to be my best buy for a single cook. I use it weekly to make up things to add to dishes. It is very strong with sharp blades. The cup holds just that. Many of the foods do get ground up a lot. I have to do a little cutting to put the items in the cup so the blades can hit them right. I am satisfied with this and it has added to what I can do with fruits,vegetables,nuts,and chocolate. It is good value for the money!

(More customer reviews)i got this as a gift expecting it to be banged up, or something off about it, since it was reconditioned. This item came with the manuals and was packaged as if brand new. I would not know it was anything but pristine. I threw my old bigger food processor away. This is a great item, chops very fast and sharp. whats really cool is how the blade flips over for grinding denser foods such as nuts or ice without dulling the sharp blade. Highly recommended.

FreshChop Food Chopper Review

I bought this chopper to replace my B&D 2 speed that I had for 5 years. (the bottom of the container broke) I read good reviews on the Food Chopper and decided to purchase. The first time I used the product it turned my veggies into mush. I tried again on a slower speed and again soup. I tried small bursts of slow speed and still all squishy. I tried small bursts of fast and again mush. I tried different foods as well and it just didn't chop. I read the instructions, just in case operationn of a small chopper has changed in 20 years.
My B&D chopper would only turn the food into soup/mush if I made it that way by keeping the highest speed on for several minutes. It always chopped the food evenly too. Unfortunately, B&D doesn't make that model any more. I would not recommend this to anyone I know.
Unfortunately I waited to long to return the item (32 days) so I am stuck with the "soup-maker".

(More customer reviews)I owned one of the first HB Big Mouths ... it came time to get another ( I cracked the bowl ) This version is wonderful all the blades store inside , the chopping blade is lower and can chop smaller amounts . The power is amazing. The suction cups on the bottom hold it in place but don't require a weight lifting belt to get it free from the counter , like the first version did. I gave away my new KitchenAid in favor of this product , the KitchenAid was damaged in one light use. I have a large family 7 kids , 2 parents , 2 employees and this Big Mouth can handle what ever I through at it.
I highly recommend this product.

(More customer reviews)just received this processor a few days ago from amazon. bought it for myself because i wanted a food processor but didnt need a big bulky one (i live alone). so far i reallly like it, it has sped up my cooking because i dont have to chop onions (or anything really) by hand anymore. jsut cut it up into quarters, throw it in the bowl, and blitz it a few times. i dont know what the difference between this one and the dlc-2fr is but mainly i chose this one because of the handle on the bowl and the 3 cup bowl. im happy with my purchase, i was very excited to use it the first time!
oh btw, it is a bit loud for such a little thing, but its ok because it doesnt continuously chop/grind, rather you either pulse it or hold the button down till you have a consistency you want. also the manual recommends you buy an extra bowl just for grinding becuase coffee beans or nuts may scratch your bowl. this is a pretty good idea, though im not sure where to find the extra bowl.

Don't buy it. There are much better product in the market.

The blender, however, leaks from the bottom of the blender jar every time we have tried to make a smoothie or milkshake. It makes quite a mess in the blender base as well as on the kitchen counter. Disappointing since this is the main use of a blender in our home. The rubber ring seems fine. I will be contacting Cuisinart about this problem.

(More customer reviews)When I decided to purchase this product, there were only two reviews and both were all right, so I thought I would give it a try. I was specifically looking for something to chop organic matter just a little bit smaller before it went out into the compost bucket on my back porch. In other words, I was not looking for food to be cut very small or uniformly and this processor still doesn't perform-- even after I do most of the chopping for it first. Instead of real chopping blades, it simply has two razor blades. They don't cut much, but after just a few spins they invariably get stuck on something really tough. You know. Like a leaf of spinach or piece of pear. The manufacturers should have just saved the plastic and left the nonskid ring off the bottom; it works so poorly for keeping the processor in place, I exert more effort holding it in place than I do turning the handle.
Don't waste the money on this one!

(More customer reviews)I am so pleased with this chopper. It doesn't pulverize foods, it actually chops them. It totally speeds up chopping onions and you can make delicous salsas and chutneys in it. It also does great in the dishwasher. I use it so much I got one for my parents and now they're hooked too. My dad (Texan) makes this delicous salsa (it's so much cheaper, healthier and more delicous than store-bought)...just use the chopper to mince the jalapenos then chop the onions before adding remaining ingredients:
1 (15 oz) can whole peeled tomatoes
1/3 large sweet onion, diced
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 fresh jalapeno, seeded and diced
1/4 cup fresh cilantro
2 tsp apple cider vinegar
1 lime, juice only
salt and pepper to taste
However, if you are looking to make an investment, I kind of wish I'd gotten the 9 or 12-cup Kitchenaid Food Processor ($150-$200) b/c it comes with a 4-cup sized mini bowl that can do all the same stuff this 3-cup one does.
